Plunging ranula (1)iRecurrence after two surgeriesj

Left: before treatment. Middle: the day after treatment.
Right: One month after treatment.

8 years old boy. He had surgery twice for his oral ranula intraorally by other physician. After that, his ranula was recurred as plunging ranula. We punctured his submandibular skin and aspirated 10 ml of viscous cyst fluid. Then injected OK-432 (10 ml of OK-432 solution, concentration was 0.1 KE/ml, total OK-432 dose was 1.0 KE). On the next day, his submandibular skin was markedly swollen and reddened. Cyst was cured without scar formation. No recurrence was observed 9 years after treatment.
