Left: Before treatment, Right: After Treatment
Fourties man. This case was very difficult to diagnose and
treat. He had already 3 surgeries for 2 and a half years before
he came to my clinic. He complained small right oral floor swelling.
From Left: Before treatment, The next day after treatment, 1 week after treatment, 6 weeks after treatment
This is the first time OK-432 therapy. At first, I thought
that it was very small ranula. I injected 0.5 KE of OK-432 in
0.2 ml saline in it. The next day, his oral floor was diffusely
swollen. This means that ranula is bigger than I expected. This
treatment was not effective.
From Left: Before treatment, The next day after treatment, 8 weeks after treatment
So, I checked MRI. White lesion is fluid collection. Ranula
was existed along with inside of submandibular bone and deep in
oral floor. Ranula I could see from mouth was a very limited part
of ranla. Because I knew ranula was big, I injected 1 KE. But,
it was not effective.
From Left: Before treatment, The next day, 1 week after, 8 weeks after, 1 year after treatment
This is the third treatment. As the third treatment, 1 KE of OK-432 was injected. This time, ranula was disappeared. After one year of treatment, there was no recurrence. I think MRI is very important for the patient who had surgery before.
